Review: The Carver Campground is small. It begins the Middle River area. Carver is close to the Gene Rush WMA that offers hiking trails and hunting. By this point in the Buffalo River, the river is year round, and the quality of fishing is better. Just upstream from Carver are deep holes noted as good smallmouth bass. There is an elk herd in the area, often seen in the Gene Rush WMA.
