Help Complete the Buffalo River Trail
Volunteers are needed to complete the Buffalo River Trail in the Lower District of the Buffalo National
River. This is a great volunteer project. Ken Smith, a local legend, has devoted much of his life to the
Buffalo River. This final leg of the trail is what remains of a project he began many years ago. Once
completed, the BRT will span the entire 150 miles of the America's first national river.
The American Hiking Society is sponsoring a volunteer trail building project beginning April 11-17, 2010.

Boxley Community Building Repair Drive
Photographers and sightseers agree that the Boxley Community building, often called the Old Boxley
Baptist Church, is an important part of the visual landscape of Boxley Valley. This 100+ year old
building is in need of significant repair if it is to survive for future generations to enjoy.
The Boxley Baptist Church, owner of this landmark, is now seeking contributions for the needed
repairs. Mark you donation for restoration of the Boxley Community building fund so that it may be
tracked.
